Past and present factors that contribute to emotional difficulties are explored through therapy. Challenges such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, grief and many more are addressed in a safe environment where a client can express their inner-most emotions and difficulties.
Self-care and setting healthy boundaries are very important to prevent burnout in our current society. Demands of school and the workplace are increasing and can have a direct impact on mental health. Determined by the client’s needs, I provide guidance with study methods, planning skills and specific self-care techniques.
My therapeutic approach incorporates gestalt play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), BrainWorking® Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE). I also incorporate other assessment tools and techniques to provide support.
